SUBURBAN FEDERALIST RENOVATION

This federalist-style home in the Salisbury neighborhood of Midlothian was in dire need of rehabilitation (before photos here).  Sold by original owners, it had only one upgrade over the years:  a sunroom addition with open kitchen.  Despite water damage inside and out, as well as sorely-needed upgrades, the house had great bones and we saw the vision.

The rear-entry one-car garage was transformed into a master bedroom and bathroom.  The large lot allowed for room to build a detached two-car garage with an in-law suite above.  A mudroom, pantry, laundry room, and rear porch were added on the back of the house.

We renovated all bathrooms and the existing kitchen, updated all mechanical systems in the house, replaced all windows, siding, and roof, added a bluestone patio, refinished all floors, and updated all landscaping and hardscaping.
